A view of the exterior of the church. Note the lack of the beech trees which were planted in the 1930’s.

A view of the Mill House and the Windmill which used to stand at the west end of the village. The Mill House is still standing, and looks much the same as it did then, it is unusual in that the lower floor is below ground level. Behind the steps on the windmill is a building which is all that is left today. It has been converted to a house and still contains some of the workings. |
A view of Top Pond. This pond was filled in after WWII with what I’m told were the old road defences. The building on the left with two garages was at one time the “Girls School” but that was long before this photograph was taken. The paddock behind the hedge on the left is now a small housing development called “The Paddock”. |
